Lonnie LeRoy Jarvis
Lonnie LeRoy Jarvis, 64, of Onaway, died Wednesday October 1, 2014 at Tendercare of Cheboygan. The son of LeRoy and Myrtle May (Crowe) Jarvis, Lonnie was born in Alpena April 14, 1950.
Surviving Lonnie are his four sons, Michael Shawn (Tameka) of Pellston, Jason (Staci) of Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska; Matthew Scott (Skye) of Arnold, Maryland, and Nicholas (Michelle) of Cheboygan; four daughters, Amanda (Jessie) Shaw and Amy Jarvis (Wes Johnson) of Indian River, Ashley (Rod) Simpson of Gaylord, and Desiree Jarvis of Great Lakes, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; and his former wife, Margaret “Marge” Provo of Cheboygan.
Visitation and the funeral service were held at the Onaway Baptist Chapel Thursday, October 9, 2014. The Rev. Dave Gearhart and the Rev. Jim Warner officiated. Lonnie’s final resting place will be in Millersburg at Riverside Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Onaway Baptist Chapel.
