Jane Kay Brown
Jane Kay Brown (Curtis), 56, passed away in her home November 6, 2014.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry M. Brown of Grand Rapids; mother, Dolena Curtis of Ocqueoc; sisters, Ann Karsten of Rogers City, Nancy (Ken) Hopp of Ocqueoc and Karen Curtis of Pinconning; a brother, Kenneth Curtis of Ocqueoc; a sister-in-law, Barbara Dykstra of Kent City a brother-in-law, Don (Valerie) Brown of Grandville; stepchildren, Lisa Brown (Ed Stormzand) of Lowell, Danette (Brian) Wells of Northport, Darren (Kim) Brown of Saranac; and a small army of nieces and nephews.
Middle child of five, Jane grew up on a small, rustic northern Michigan farm. She worked in the Grand Rapids area as a billing clerk for 25 years. Always generous with baked goods, gifts and whimsical thoughts. Jane will be remembered for her big heart and keen critique. Never one to sit still for long, she and Larry often enjoyed scenic trips together on their Harley.
Private services were held in Jane’s memory. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
