Onaway Citizens’ group recall language approved

Members of the Presque Isle Election Commission approved petition language May 9 to recall Onaway mayor Gary Wregglesworth, as well as commissioners Chuck Abshagen and Jessie Horrocks.

MIW awarded $19 million contract
Consumers Energy signed a $19 million contract Feb. 1 with Moran Iron Works (MIW) for the fabrication of clean-air equipment for the utility’s power plants.

A special bell ringing ceremony in the Rogers City High School gymnasium commemorated a tragedy which shaped the history of the area.
